Matt Wand focuses his legal practice on litigation and represents clients facing complex disputes in the areas of construction, business, and real estate. At Lynch Murphy McLane LLP, Matt also brings a keen interest in constitutional law, particularly cases involving civil rights, free speech, and the free exercise of religion. Having contributed amicus briefs in significant constitutional cases, Matt is eager to expand his practice in this evolving area of law.
Matt married his wife Anne in 1996 and they have three children. A lifelong resident of Multnomah County, Matt and his family have called Gresham and Troutdale home for nearly their entire marriage. He enjoys playing golf and spending time outdoors, particularly on Mt. Hood and in Central Oregon, where they hike, fish, and hunt. Matt is a member of the Al Kader Shrine and served on the Board of Directors for the Shriner's Portland Children's Hospital. He is a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Parish in Gresham.
In addition to his extensive legal practice, Matt served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives (HD-49) from 2011 to 2013. He was appointed to the House Committee on Revenue and the House Judiciary Committee, contributing to policymaking in both subjects. Matt’s prior experience includes serving as General Counsel for multiple companies, handling complex real estate, construction, and business matters, and serving as a City Councilor for the City of Troutdale.
