Overview

Lori’s trusts and estates experience extends back to 1999 when trained by a senior attorney representing clients in six different states. She followed suit and obtained her license in four states. She is experienced in wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, life insurance trusts, asset protection trusts, personal residence trusts, firearms trusts, formation of special needs trusts, intrafamily loan arrangements, business succession planning, business entities in relation to estate planning, and coordinating with philanthropic plans. Lori is frequently consulted on will and trust contests, fiduciary matters, and gifting plans.

Lori has unique experience in gun trusts and NFA firearms transfers and in late 2016 she presented before the Central Oregon Estate Planning Council on “Bang, Bang, Fido: Firearms Law and Pet Trusts.” She continues presenting on estate matters as featured Oregon Public Broadcasting speaker in Central Oregon.

Lori assists families with decedents’ estates, including estates related to personal injury, wrongful-death or class-action suits.  Lori helps navigate both the small-estate and full probate processes in Oregon. She’s highly sought after for assistance with trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship.

Lori also focuses on due-diligence review of developable sites and the resolution of land use, planning, and zoning issues. A LEED Accredited Professional, Lori is experienced in all aspects of land use and provides a deep understanding of the law as it relates to the design, construction, and operation of green buildings.
