Lynch Murphy McLane is pleased to welcome Peter as Senior Counsel to the firm.
Peter, for 51 years, studied, practiced, and taught persuasion and trial advocacy as a business trial lawyer with Miller Nash, as a ProTem Judge, and as an adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark Law School. Peter is available for consulting on strategy and tactics in preparing for and trying civil cases.
When not preparing for trial, Peter enjoys skiing, playing tennis, riding his KTM motorcycles, reading history, and hiking with Leslie, his wife of 55 years.
During his 49 years at Miller Nash, Peter has prepared for and tried hundreds of civil cases in numerous areas of the law, specializing in jury trials. He has tried cases in many areas of the law, including multi-million dollar cases in contracts, real estate, securities fraud, anti-trust, employment, and trust and partnership. In addition to teaching many trial advocacy seminars, he co-founded the Oregon State Bar Trial Advocacy College, a hands-on mock trial experience for Lawyers.
Peter is admitted to practice before all Oregon courts, the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
